“This presentation forms an extract from a PhD thesis titled ‘The Representation of Textileoh qqds on Javanese Sculpture; 9th to 14th century’ to be submitted at SOAS in September 2016. It examines certain patterns on the textiles carved in bas relief which adorn a selected corpus of Śaivite and Buddhist stone sculptures from the late 13th century originating in Singhasāri, Malang district, East Java.”
