Conférence  de Virginia Shih  (bibliothécaire spécialiste de l’Asie du Sud-Est de l’université de Californie- Berkeley), sur le thème « Curating Global Southeast Asia Scholarly Resources: Challenges and Opportunities »le lundi 25 novembre de 14h à 16h à la maison de l’Asie, 22 avenue du Président Wilson, 75116 Paris (salle de conférences, rez-de-chaussée).

 

For background introduction, Virginia Shih will start with her academic training and professional experience in curating international Southeast Asia collections and engaging in research and development and networking from a U.S. perspective. She will highlight and elaborate on major challenges and opportunities in meeting the research, teaching and learning needs of the global scholarly community. She will share her experience and best practices of Southeast Asia curatorship using the University of California, Berkeley model to share her experience and best practice. Last but not least, she will share her recommendations of global collaborative initiatives as the next steps of the future of effective Southeast Asia collecting stewardship at Berkeley.
